Omosehin Succeeds Sunday Thomas As Commissioner For Insurance.

The newly appointed Commissioner for Insurance/CEO, National Insurance Commission, Mr. Olusegun on Friday assumed duty at the Commission’s Headquarters, Abuja, and was welcomed by senior members of staff.

On arrival, the Commissioner For, Insurance, CFI, had an interactive session with the entire management and staff of the Commission.

In his opening remark, Omosehin noted that the executive management would set a new tone for the Nigerian insurance sector.

His predecessor, Mr. Sunday Thomas, was in attendance to officially handover to the new CFI, thanking members of staff for their support while in office.

The new CFI expressed optimism of achieving a more vibrant insurance sector adding that the Federal Government intends to achieve a $1tn economy by 2026 saying the sector is poised to play a critical role and contribute to its own quota.

Until his recent appointed as commissioner for Insurance, Omosehin was the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Old Mutual Nigeria Life Assurance Company Limited, as well as the Chairman, Nigerian Insurers Association.
