
The President/Chairman of the governing council, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Mrs Yetunde Ilori has announced the commencement of Insurance Week, from June 28th till July 4th, 2025.
The week according to Ilori, is an initiative of the Institute designed to promote insurance awareness, stakeholder engagement and industry collaboration.
The Insurance Week with the theme; ‘Insurance for All: Securing Nigeria’s future’ is a pivotal platform aimed at showcasing importance of insurance to everyday life of every Nigerian.
While briefing the media and other stakeholders, Ilori explained that the Insurance Week will be running in three other locations, Ibadan, Port Harcourt and Kano, simultaneously in a week-long event that will feature various activities geared towards enhancing the visibility of the insurance industry, educating the public on the benefits of insurance, and foster professional growth within the sector.
She further said that the week-long event will be a turning point for the insurance industry in the country as all the activities had been planned to create an enduring and lasting memory in the minds of the insuring public, the practitioners and the general public.
Speaking on the activities lined up for the event, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee and former Past President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, CIIN, Mr Eddie Efekoha, said a lot of efforts have gone into the planning of the Insurance Week and everyone involved is looking forward to having an event that will drive engagement and stimulate patronage for the insurance industry going forward.
